Coming Sunday, May 22, we will have two worship services, a contemporary service (9:45 a.m.) and a traditional service (11:15 a.m.).

The last two Sundays, from the perspectives of psalmists Asaph and David, we’ve considered past and present aspects of our faith. The first sermon focused on the importance of remembering who God is and what he has done for us as a means of gaining peace amidst distressing circumstances today. The second sermon enlarged upon numerous blessings of God’s steadfast presence in our lives. Coming Sunday’s sermon, “Stars of Hope,” both summarizes and advances this series. While we will, as the quote of Gerald Wilson says, “remember the past” and “receive power to face the present,” we will also, and especially, “conceive hope for tomorrow” – this all within the crucial context of corporate worship.

Scripture reading:  Romans 15:5-13 | Psalm 42-43

Sermon:  "Stars of Hope"  by Rev. James Bultema
