A note from the Treasurer: Update on APCH finances

1. We are pleased to report income for 2011 at a little over EUR 650,000 against expenses of slightly over EUR 600,000. These numbers include EUR 43,000 of accruals for future expenses. Of the income, EUR 415,000 was recorded as church offering and in addition, EUR 119,000 was designated income while an additional EUR 68,000 was added to the new building fund and EUR 15,000 was contributed as benevolence offering. Further income was recorded in individuals committees as well as the permanent endowment and physical asset fund.
2. On March 4, we will take the congregation through a proposed budget which covers EUR 520,000 of expenses against EUR 457,000 of income. The latter is a 10% increase over the 2011 income as discussed on the October congregational meeting.
3. In December, we received a letter from the tax authority confirming our compliance with tax regulations. 
4. Lastly it is important to note that we had a fruitful meeting on Wednesday with a bank that specializes in financing churches to provide backing where needed for our Renovation and Expansion plans. This gives us further confidence to make these plans happen by the end of next year.
