Weekly Newsletter Updated Every Thursday

Coming Sunday, September 24, we will have two worship services, a contemporary service at 9:45 am and a traditional service at 11:15 am.

Sunday morning, we continue with our journey in “The Story”. This week, we journey with Joseph and his brothers in what are some of the most memorable and engaging stories in the Bible. As we read, we might despair for Joseph, given his enemies and suffering. But, as the editors of “The Story” tell us, you can’t only pay attention to the “Lower Story.” There’s an “Upper Story,” too.  Thank God!  Come and grow!

Scripture reading: Genesis 37:1-8, 50:15-21 | 2 Corinthians 1:3-11

During the Council meeting earlier this week, we discussed two issues of importance which we want to share before the Council minutes are available next week.

First, we discussed the need for relief efforts and funds resulting from Harvey and Irma but also as a result of rainfall in Bangladesh and Sierra Leone to name two. As Council, we have decided not to organize any campaign or make APCH funds available, other than a consideration for the missionaries that we are already supporting. With that, we do encourage each and everyone at APCH to help where possible by using the multitude of available channels.

Secondly, and we will provide a detailed financial update at the end of next week, we want to report the aggregate expenses and income at the end of August from the beginning of the year as:

APCH Income:  € 211,000

APCH Expenses:  € 273,000
