We are an international community of Christians from over 40 nations. The congregation is Reformed in its historic roots, denominationally diverse in its current membership, and committed to the historic core of the Christian faith. We have grown to include almost as many denominations as we have nations.

Believing it to be the will of God that followers of Jesus Christ associate themselves in fellowship for mutual encouragement,
for public worship, and for active service, we hereby declare our common heritage and purpose by establishing a local congregation under God the Father, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Holy Spirit.

The purposes of APCH shall be to:

A. Worship and honor the sovereignty and grace of God the Father Almighty;

B. Provide a means of witness to our loyalty to Jesus Christ;

C. Emphasize and encourage the presence of the Holy Spirit;

D. Engage our members in public and private worship, in Christian education, and in Christian service and benevolence;

E. Invite and encourage others to make Christian profession;

F. Maintain full fellowship with all other bodies of Christians, especially the home churches of our members and the other church groups in the vicinity of The Hague, The Netherlands.

APCH recognizes a relation of association with the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. – which is the point of contact for consultations, for association with other overseas churches, and for mutual assistance – and its regional association, the Association of International Churches of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It also recognizes a relation of fellowship with  other bodies of Christians such as local Christian Councils and the World Council of Churches.

Recognizing full liberty of individual interpretation and taking cognisance of the various statements of faith under which our members may have made their professions, APCH agrees upon the following main points as indicating the basic convictions of our membership:

We believe in God, the Heavenly Father, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, whose goodness is our blessing and whose wisdom is
our law.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Son of Man, our Divine Lord and personal Saviour, whose life, death, and resurrection redeem and inspire all who accept Him.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, God present with us, by whom we are led in ways of righteousness and love.

We believe in the Holy Bible, which reveals to us the will of God and is our guide in faith and practice.

We believe in the Kingdom of God as the divine rule in human society.

We believe in prayer.

We believe in the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

We believe in the Church as Christ’s Body of Believers.

We believe in the final triumph of righteousness and in the Life Everlasting.

Upon this foundation of our faith, we covenant with one another and with God to live and labor together as true disciples of Jesus Christ.
